Agriculture project motivates farmers to form their association and strengthening farmers association to make farmers self-sustainable and to influence government to get good agriculture related facilities and schemes. This project also encourages students, women and youth to get hands on experience of agriculture components. This project also give training to students and women about kitchen garden and support them to grow nutrition garden/ Kitchen Garden at school and home with the technical support of KVK. This project also aims to provide Agriculture Value added trainings which help women and youth to start agriculture related value-added product unit and provide them self-employment.
BVT conducted trainings and awareness programmes to farmers, youth and women about different integrated agriculture components like jasmine cultivation, mushroom cultivation, coconut training, vermin compost making training, poultry and Inland fish rearing training etc helped youth and women to generate income from practising these components. BVT also encourage farmers to promote FPO with the help of NABARD. BVT also provided quality vegetable seeds which helped students to grow kitchen garden at their school and use that vegetable for mid-day meals.
BVT also have a agriculture land which will be developed as model agriculture farm in future.
