ASHDEN International Award to BVT -2021-22

Ashden Trust awarded the prestigious ASHDEN award to Bharathiya Vikas Trust (BVT) for their significant work and the contribution towards developing the Sustainable energy – Solar energy sector during 2021-22 under Energy Access & Skill. The initiatives of BVT in this aspect for several years has been not only towards controlling climate change but also ensuring clean and green livelihood opportunities/ solutions for people of the country.

Establishment of B-SAFE Center FOR Excellence

B-SAFE Centre for Excellence (BVT Sustainable, Agriculture, and Financial Literacy & Energy based solutions) was inaugurated by Sri Sunil Kumar, Minister of Energy, Karnataka at Bharathiya Vikas Trust on October 17, 2021. The centre includes all the solar livelihood machines.

Appreciation

Appreciation by Winrock International India (WII) for BVTs outstanding efforts in Training and capacity building of FI-Bankers for effective financing of Solar energy solutions across India.

Under the project, funded by USAID (United States Agency for International Development) and Partnered by WINROCK International India, New Delhi, Syndicate Bank and CTD NGO, BVT trained around 15000 Bank officials & Executives across India.

Appreciation by Govt ITI, Chikmagalur for outstanding work in training of more than 5000 Technicians of solar energy across Karnataka under the sponsorship by MGIRED/ KREDL, Govt of Karnataka.
